In de jaren 1972-1974 bouwde George Croft een groot orgel voor de Anglican Cathedral in Napier. Bij de bouw is veel pijpwerk overgenomen uit het vorige orgel van de kerk, gebouwd door T.C. Lewis in 1874 voor Knox Presbyterian Church in Dunedin en sinds 1932 in Napier, en omgebouwd en uitgebreid in 1938 en 1966. Het nieuwe orgel had 53 registers op drie manualen en pedaal. In 2012-2013 is het orgel door de South Island Organ Company uitgebreid met een vierde manuaal en omgebouwd tot 69 registers.
