- Het orgel van Saint Mary's Episcopal Church in Dalkeith is in 1846 gebouwd door David Hamilton. In 1891 werkten Charles en Frederick Hamilton aan het instrument. Twee maal, in 1974 en in 1997, werd het gerestaureerd door Rushworth & Dreaper, de laatste maal met steun van het Heritage Lottery Fund.
- Het instrument is vrijwel origineel bewaard gebleven. In 1891 werd een hydraulische watermotor geïnstalleerd voor de windvoorziening en er werd een Clarionet 8' geplaatst op Choir Organ in plaats van de Vox Humana. De watermotor is nog steeds in bedrijf en de enige in zijn soort in Schotland. De winddruk is laag en de klank van het orgel opmerkelijk kamermuzikaal. Het groot octaaf van het Swell Organ spreekt in het Great Organ.
