  • The organ of the cathedral at Llandalff was built in 1898 by Robert Hope-Jones. It was expanded by Norman & Beard with a Solo Organ in 1914. The same builders modified the stop list in 1924 and 1938. Due to war damage in 1941, the organ was no longer usable. Hill, Norman & Beard rebuilt it in 1958. The stop list again was changed and expanded. The students of Howell's School in Llandalff and of the Cathedral School donated the Tuba from the Solo Organ. The organ was revised in 1980 by Rushworth & Dreaper. They installed new couplers.
  • In 2007 the cathedral was hit by a lightning strike. The organ became unusable. It was decided to have a new organ built, that could be dedicated in 2010.
