- In 1810, an unknown organ builder built an organ for the chapel of Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn. It is certain that the main part of the interior is older, and was made by Johannes Bruydegom in 1751. This old instrument had a manual compass of 49 keys. This has been expanded to 54 keys in the rebuilt. The organ case was newly constructed in 1810.
- In 1902 the organ was restored by Gerrit Spit. He altered the stop list: the Quint 3' was replaced by a Viola 8', the Mixtuur by a Flute 2' and the Dulciaan 8' by a Voix Celeste 8'. In 1984 the organ was restored by Ernst Leeflang and the disposition was reconstructed. Consultants in this restoration were ir. P. Kluyver (Uetliburg) and Onno Wiersma. In July 1984 the organ was put back into use.
- When part of the palace was redesigned in 2022-2023, the chapel was also altered. Most of the furniture has been removed. Both wing pieces have been removed from the organ.
- The organ in the chapel of Het Loo Palace has long been attributed to the Bätz firm. It would have been the organ that this company built for the palace of the Grand Duke in Luxembourg. This would have been transferred to Apeldoorn in 1891. But this story seems to be incorrect. The organ that was in Luxembourg is standing in the Muttergottes chapel in Echternach. It was not built by Bätz, but by Johann Müller.
