- The Leichel organ in the church of Arum was built in 1885 instead of an instrument from 1840, supplied by Dirk Ypma. The organ was inspected by Johannes Worp, organist in Groningen. It was put into use on November 29, 1885. In 1939 a restoration was necessary, because the government work was partly mouldy.
- The Spanjaard company carried out this restoration. The stop list was modified during this restoration. Spanjaard replaced the Viool di Gamba of the upper manual with a Nazard 3' and the Prestant 4' with an Octave 2'. On the pedal, the Violoncelle has been replaced by a Koraalbas 4'. A new pedalboard has also been installed with a size of 30 keys instead of the original 27. The missing pipes for this extension were installed by Spanjaard. On June 20, 1940, the organ was put back into use. It was played by Lucie Bruinsma and Willem Zonderland.
- A.H. de Graaf carried out a new restoration in 1966.
- During a restoration of the church, the organ was seriously damaged. In 2020 it was restored by Bakker & Timmenga. The registers Nazard and Octave 2' of the upper manual have been replaced by the original registers Viola di Gamba 8' and Prestant 4'. The Koraalbas on the pedal has been preserved. The organ has been in use again since May 2021 after many years of silence. On June 19, 2022, the organ has been officially inaugurated.
