- In the years 1904 to 1906 the company Van Dam built a new organ for the Nieuwe Kerk in Vlissingen. The organ was donated to the church by Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Blum-De Niet on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary. The instrument was inaugurated on Wednesday, September 26, 1906. Mr. A.P. Varel played it on this occasion.
- During the Second World War the instrument was stored from 1943 to 1945. After the closing of the Nieuwe Kerk, the instrument found a place in the newly built Johanneskerk, where it was placed in 1958.
- The prospect of Van Dam was replaced by a modern facade that was designed by the architect of the church, in style with the design of the Johanneskerk. But the Johanneskerk was closed in 1995 and demolished in 1996. Jan Jongepier and Bram Beekman made attempts to have the organ installed in the Grote or Jacobskerk in Vlissingen, with a reconstructed prospect. However, these attempts have failed.
- The organ was eventually sold in 1996 to the Getuigeniskerk, A. Lauwereyszstraat 6 in Middelburg. The Leeflang organ from 1968 in this church was sold to Het Kruispunt in Apeldoorn. The Van Dam organ could be installed without major modifications. However, the Octave 2' and the Quint 1 1/3' of the Bovenwerk have been replaced by a Nasard 3' and a Gemshoorn 2'. In order to make it possible to install the organ, a hole had to be made in the ceiling. Shortly afterwards, the Getuigeniskerk was renamed to Morgensterkerk.
- When the Morgensterkerk had to close, the organ was put for sale again in 2016. It was sold to the Gereformeerde Gemeente in Berkenwoude, where a new church building was going to be erected. The organ was here installed in 2021-2023. Flentrop Orgelbouw carried out the work. A new prospect has been constructed in the style of Van Dam organs from the beginning of the 20th century. The organ of the Reformed Church in Middenbeemster has been used as an example. The organ of the previous church in Berkenwoude was sold to the parish of Außernzell in Bavaria. The Van Dam organ has been dedicated on Thursday, May 11, 2023 with a concert by Adriaan Hoek.
