- Valck & Van Koouteren built a pneumatic organ in 1936 in the Zuiderkerk in the Wilhelminastraat in Emmen, built in 1923. It was put into use on October 22, 1936. The old organ from 1904 - that had been relocated from the previous church building - was sold to the Gereformeerde Kerk in Vlagtwedde. When it was inaugurated, the organ was played by Henk Pijlman, organist in Meppel.
- In 1958 Verschueren renovated the instrument. The action was converted to electro-pneumatic, the console was moved to the church floor and the facade was changed so that it would fit better with the modernized church interior.
- In 2010 it was announced that the Zuiderkerk would probably be closed. This finally happened in March 2015. The church building was subsequently rented out, including for exhibitions. The organ remained in the building for the time being, but was dismantled by Sicco Steendam in the second week of May 2016, with the intention of placing it elsewhere. The conversion of the building into apartments then started.
