  • In 1948 the Walcker company built an organ for the Liebfrauenkirche in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt. The church was partially destroyed in 1944, resulting in the loss of the organ of the Gebrüder Späth from 1912. The Walcker organ still contains some stops from Späth. It was completed in three phases: the Schwellwerk and some pedal stops in 1948 (with a small temporary console), the Positiv and the console in 1957 and the Hauptwerk and the rest of the pedal in 1962. The front was designed by Walter Supper. The completed organ was dedicated on July 8, 1962.
  • After 1970 the organ was modified and re-voiced several times: by Peter Paul Köberle in the years 1973-1975, by Diethelm Berner in 1985-1988 and by Michael Mauch in 2007. A Zimbelstern was installed in 2019. The electrical action was renewed in 2021-2022. A Tuba Mirabilis was also installed.
