The organ in the Pfarrkirche Sankt Johannes in Auerbach in der Oberpfalz was built in 1971 by the company Steinmeyer. The organ case is much older: it dates from 1755, and was constructed by Johann Konrad Brandenstein. He built a new organ for the church with twenty (actual: seventeen) stops. There are two sources for a specification of this organ, but both are dating from many years after the construction (1845 and 1899). This instrument was replaced in 1903 by Josef Bittner, but because there were many problems with the action of this organ, a new organ was already built in 1925 as opus 1411 by Steinmeyer. This work had pneumatic action and 'Taschenladen'.
