Na de aardbeving van november 2016 was het grote Lewis-orgel in de kathedraal van Wellington niet meer te bespelen. Een restauratie zou kostbaar zijn, en een nieuwe aardbeving zou opnieuw grote schade aanrichten. Daarom besloot men een digitaal orgel te laten plaatsen. Het is een vierklaviers orgel van het type Regent Classic Organ, geleverd door Viscount Classical Organs. Het orgel werd in oktober 2018 in gebruik genomen. Het openingsconcert werd gespeeld door Joseph Nolan.
