Gebaut von: Johann Friedrich Schulze (1856)
Johann Friedrich Schulze built a small organ for the Jacobikirche in Ilfeld in 1856. After the construction of a new and larger church, the instrument was transferred by Gustav Engelhardt to the Petrikirche in Elbingerode in Niedersachsen. During a restoration by the Krell company, a large part of the pipework was replaced and the voicing was adjusted. Albrecht Frerichs restored the instrument in 1990. He restored the original disposition, and only the 1961 Mixtur has been preserved. Thomas Heinemann of the Krawinkel company carried out a new restoration in 2011, in which the in particular the voicing of the pipework has been improved.
