Around 1860 Arnold Clerinx built a new organ for the Église Saint-Nicolas in Tournai. Remarkable for the time is the construction of a Grand Orgue and a Positif de Dos. Parts of the case are probably older, and would then have been built for an organ by Jean Le Royer in the second half of the seventeenth century. This also corresponds to the style of the cases. During the inventory in 1992, two pedal keyboards were found in the gallery. One had eighteen keys, the other twenty-seven. The organ was in a very bad state at the time and was completely unplayable. The church has been out of use for many years. There are exhibitions now and then. Nothing is known about the current condition of the organ, if it still exists.
