Gebaut von: Norbert Krieger (2010)

The organ in the Spitalkirche in Karlstadt was built by Norbert Krieger in 2009-2010. He built it after his retirement. The organ replaced a small organ by Steinmeyer from 1890, which was installed around 1980, and came from the Sankt Kilianskirche in Thüngen. However, this was too small for the church, and the sound was not clear enough. Existing materials were used in the construction of the new organ. The organ was dedicated on July 24, 2010. The Steinmeyer organ was placed in the chapel of the Ostfriedhof after a revision by Krieger in 2011.
