Saint John Cantius Catholic Church is a large parish church in Chicago, which was built for the Polish community in the years 1893-1898. The Lower Church was inaugurated at Christmas 1893, and the large Upper Church was dedicated on December 11, 1898. The church building was designed by Adolphus Druiding.
George Kilgen & Son built a new three-manual organ for the church in 1922, replacing the Felgemacher organ from 1900. It was opus 3118 of the firm. The Kilgen organ was expanded in 1927 with an Echo Division as opus 3932. In 1996 the organ was demolished by Daniel Bogue, after which he built a new organ with partly material from Kilgen.
This organ was demolished in late 2011 and replaced by the Casavant organ from Saint James United Methodist Church.
