  • In 1914-1915, the Casavant firm built a large new organ for Saint James United Methodist Church in Chicago from its workshop in South Haven, Michigan. The opus number was South Haven 24. The church had been dedicated in November 1896, and was built in Gothic style. The prospect of the church's first organ was reused by Casavant. The new organ had seventy registers, including nine transmissions. It was a gift to the church from Mrs. Gustavus F. Swift, in memory of her late husband. The organ was inaugurated at Easter 1915.
  • The church building, including the organ, was lost in a fire in 1924.
