  • In 1941-1942, Aeolian-Skinner built a large concert organ for the new music building of the University of Texas. Consultant was Paul Boner. The organ was inaugurated on November 10, 1942 with a concert by Palmer Christian. In 1965 the organ was overhauled. A new console was also installed on this occasion.
  • In 1983 the music department moved to another building, Bates Recital Hall, where a new organ was installed. The Aeolian-Skinner organ was left behind but was no longer used.
  • Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Amarillo, Texas, was destroyed by fire on February 11, 1996. The Austin Aeolian-Skinner Organ was purchased for the church in 1997, for the new church building. It was restored and installed in the church by the Schoenstein firm. Some registers have been renewed and a few additions have been made. But most of the organ is still the original instrument from 1941-1942. It was erected in the church in 2004-2005 and was ready for use in June 2005. Thomas Murray played the inaugural concert.
