  • In 1959, Aeolian-Skinner built an organ for the First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Consultant was Merle Pflueger, organist of the church. The organ was dedicated on November 21, 1959, after which Virgil Fox played the inaugural concert. Not all planned registers could be placed. In 1964 the organ was expanded with a Festival Trumpet 8'.
  • The organ was overhauled in 1989-1990 by the firm of Schoenstein & Co. They expanded the pedal with a number of reeds. The same firm rebuilt the organ in 2011, according to a plan by John Ferguson. Several new registers were placed. On December 4, 2011, the organ was reopened with a concert by Paul Jacobs.
