- In 1599 an organ was built for Visby Domkyrka. In 1838 it was dismantled and replaced by a new organ by Sven Petter Petterson. This organ had twenty registers. After the construction of a new organ by Åkerman & Lund in 1892, part of the organ was used to build an instrument in Lau Kyrka, including eight stops from 1599. It remained in use here until 1960. Other parts of the old organ remained in storage in Visby.
- In 2017 the organ was reconstructed by Grönlund Orgelbyggeri. All parts still present, including the complete greenhouse of the back positive, have been replaced. Mads Kjersgaard intoned the pipe work. The organ is placed on a gallery on the west side of the church, to the left of the 1892 Åkerman & Lund organ.
