The organ contains older material: Prospect from 1854 by Sven Fogelberg
The old church of Södra Åsum dates back to the twelfth century. In 1854 Sven Fogelberg placed an organ in the church with six registers. A new church was consecrated in 1902, but the old church is still standing. The organ was replaced in 1970 by a new organ by Olof Hammarberg. This is placed behind the facade of Fogelberg's organ.
