S:t Johanneskyrkan in Gothenburg was dedicated on July 8, 1866. It is a Gothic-style building with copper roofs. The church served as a sailor's church, but from 1893 also as a parish church for the Masthugget district. In 1996 the church building was transferred to the city mission.
In the church there is an organ from 1965, built by Olof Hammarberg. It is a two manual organ with 22 registers. It replaced a 1906 Thorsell & Erikson organ with nineteen stops. The church's first organ was built in 1873 by Johan Niklas Söderling. This organ had fourteen stops. It was transferred to Allerums Kyrka in 1906.
