- The Schantz firm built a new organ for the First United Methodist Church in Montgomery in 1968. Construction consultant was Sam Batt Owens. The organ is built in two parts, with the main organ on the choir of the church, and the Antiphonal Organ on a gallery at the rear of the church.
- In 1996 the console was renewed by the Milnar Organ Company under the advice of Warren Hutton. This new console was equipped with the latest techniques for the combination system. In 1998 the organ was expanded with a Trompette and Chamade, which was placed in the gallery with the Antiphonal Organ. In 2005 Milnar expanded the organ with three new stops: a Trumpet 8' on Great, and an Oboe 8' and a Harmonic Flute 4' on Swell.
- In 2021, the Schoenstein company started the construction of a new organ for the church.
