- The only organ by the hand of Agostinho Rodrigues Leite that has survived is the instrument in the monastery church of the Mosteiro de São Bento in Rio de Janeiro from 1773. Originally it was an organ with 15 registers on one manual and with an independent pedal. . In 1926 Gottholdo Budig and Placido de Oliveiro installed a new console, supplied by the Johannes Klais company.
- Guilhelme Berner and Placido de Oliveiro renovated the organ in 1939. They also expanded it with a second manual with fifteen stops. In 1945 the organ was further enlarged to a four-manual organ by Guilhelme Berner.
