In 1980, the Holtkamp Organ Company built a new organ for the Palmer Auditorium at the University of Montevallo. The instrument replaced a 1930s Skinner organ, some of the pipework of which has been reused. Consultant was Louise Lumby. She also performed the inauguration concert on September 7, 1980.
