- In 1967 the community of the Gereformeerde Kerk (Vrijgemaakt) in Leek bought the former Gereformeerde Kerk, 24 Tolberterstraat, which was built in 1908. In this church there was an organ from built by the company Rohlfing in 1921, that has also been taken over. However, the organ turned out not to be in a good condition.
- The church was renovated in 1978. After that, the old organ could hardly be played anymore, so a campaign for a new organ was started. Until then, a positive was temporarily installed by the company Reil, which had been given on loan by a private individual. In 1982/1983 Reil built a completely new instrument for the church. It was put into service on April 16, 1983. The Pedal Subbas was made around 1930 by Gerrit van Leeuwen. The pedal was later expanded with five digital registers.
- The Reil organ was sold in 2020 and replaced by a large electronic instrument with a fake organ front, built from loudspeaker boxes. The organ was transferred to the new owner, the Katolske Kirke St. Frans of the roman catholic parish of Larvik in Norway, in 2021 by the company Reil. The digital stops were removed and the specification was altered. The organ has been inaugurated on July 24, 2022.
