2019 Richard Houghten  reconstruction

  • In the Golding Chapel of Christ Church Cathedral, a two-manual Aeolian Skinner organ from 1939 is installed. It concerns a unit organ with four ranks (Diapason, Gedeckt, Viola and Oboe). A stop list of 23 stops has been derived from these ranks. The organ is entirely located inside a swell box.
  • In 2019, the instrument has been rebuilt by Richard Houghten. He added the Oboe 8' ranks, constructed by Henry Pilcher's Sons in 1926 (for their opus 1309).
