  • Hyde Park First Baptist Church was founded in 1874. A new church was constructed in the years 1901-1905, thanks to a gift by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. The church, now named Hyde Park Union Church, was dedicated on January 7, 1906. A new pipe organ was constructed for this church in 1914 by Ernest M. Skinner, opus 211 of his company. On October 22, 1914, the organ was inaugurated. Mrs. W.C. Miller played the inaugural concert.
  • In 1956, the instrument has been rebuilt by the Möller Organ Company. The organ was enlarged from 21 to 30 ranks.
  • Since 1965, the church is called Hyde Park Union Church. The specification given here is the original specification of 1914.
