- In 1826-1827 a contract was signed with Pieter Van Peteghem for the construction of a new organ for the cathedral of Ieper (Ypres). It was a two-manual organ with 25 stops and pulldown pedals. The organ case had been designed by architect L. Roelant from Gent. The organ was installed in the church in 1831-1832. Van Peteghem transferred the previous organ to the Sint-Jacobskerk in 1834.
- The Van Peteghem organ was restored by François Joris in 1908. Although there are no specifications available, it is assumed that het expanded the organ with an independent pedal and a swell division.
- In November 1914, church and organ were destroyed by war violence.
