In 1882, William A. Johnson built a new two-manual organ for the Baptist Church on Madison Avenue in Albany, New York. The organ was dismantled in 1954 and replaced by an electronic instrument. Only the organ case with the prospect pipes of Johnson remained in the church. The instrument itself was sold to D.R.M. Patterson from New Hampton, New Hampshire. Since 1974, the instrument is in the possession of A. Richard Strauss, who has the organ in storage in Ithaca, New York.
