- In 1686-1693, a new church was erected in Bamberg for the Jesuites, dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus. A pipe organ was installed in this church in 1701-1702, that is attributed to Adam Philipp Schleich. It wasn't a large organ, having only one manual and pedal. In 1773, the Jesuite cloister was closed and the church became redundant. In 1803, the parish of Sankt Martin moved from their old gothic church to the former Jesuite church, and their organ was transferred also in 1804. The Schleich organ was sold and relocated to the Evangelical Church in Dottenheim by Bernhard Voigt.
- From the original organ only the case remains, although altered. A first rebuilt was carried out by Steinmeyer in 1865. A new organ was installed behind the prospect in 1914 by Johann Strebel. It is a two-manual pneumatic organ with ten stops.
