Schantz Organ Company built a new organ for the Central Presbyterian Church, currently Alps Road Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia, that was dedicated in 1983. The instrument was designed as a two-manual organ, but with preparations for a future expansion. Under direction of the church organist, Emma Pettyjohn, the organ was rebuilt and enlarged. A oiriginal three-manual Schantz console from 1972 could be used for this purpose. The work was carried ou by Michael Proscia in 2019. The redidication of the organ took place in February 2020.
