In 1878, a new organ was built for First Baptist Church, 56 Federal Street, Salem, Massachusetts. The organ has been rebuilt and enlarged with a new choir division in 1924 by William Laws. In 2009 the church had to be closed, and the organ was dismantled and stored. It was bought by Kent Lutheran Church in Kent, Washington. In 2018-2020 the organ has been installed in this church after a restoration, with a new organ case, some additions and tonal corrections. The extensions of 1924 have been removed. The installation was carried out by volunteers together with Marceau Pipe Organs. On the new location the organ has two consoles, one on the gallery and one on the church floor.
