- The organ in Bälinge Kyrka is a remarkable instrument, that was rebuilt in it's current form in 2005-2006 by the company Bergenblad & Jonsson (Nye Orgelbyggeri AB) from Farstorp. The organ case goes back to the years 1632-1640, when a large organ with 51 stops was built for Storkyrkan in Stockholm by George Herman and Philip Eisenmenger. Mårten Redtmer created the carvings and sculptures. The organ had a main organ case and a positive case (Rückpositiv) in the gallery.
- In the following years the instrument was rebuilt and modified several times. A large rebuilt was carried out by Georg Woitzig in 1690-1698. Olof Schwan worked on the instrument in 1776. When Olof Schwan built a new organ for Storkyrkan in the years 1791-1796, the old organ was dismantled by him earlier. In 1787-1788 he installed the positiv organ in Bälinge Kyrka as main organ.
- In Bälinge the instrument was modified a number of times, but the old instrument was removed in 1938 by the company Setterquist, which built a new pneumatic two-manual organ behind the historic prospect. In 1986 there was a start to work out plans for a rebuilt of the organ in the original form. Consultant was Göran Blomberg, who worked together with organ builder Mads Kjersgaard. In preparation to this te organ case and prospect were restored in 1988-1989. The reconstruction of the instrument was carried out in 2005-2006 by Bergenblad & Jonsson.
