The Sacred Heart Church in Palestine, Texas, was dedicated on June 18, 1893. It replace an older church building, dedicated to Saint Joseph, that burned down in 1890. First a reed organ was in use, but on April 25, 1926, a new pipe organ was dedicated. The instrument has been built by the firm Henry Pilcher's Sons.
