The borthers Torkildsen built a new organ for Sandnessjøen Kirke in 1998. Consultant was Bjørn Andor Drage. The instrument was designed in a classical Norwegian style of organ building, with a focus on the work of Claus Jensen. The former organ of the church was sold to Tjøtta Kirke.
