  • The main organ of Saint James' Cathedral in Chicago is an Austin organ from 1920-1921, built behind the facade of the Johnson organ from 1875 (opus 456). Dudley Buck was organist from 1868, and the new Austin organ was played by Leo Sowerby since 1927.
  • Since 1921, the organ has been rebuilt and modified several times. The Walker organ of the City Temple in London was purchased in 2023. This instrument will be placed behind Johnson's front in 2024-2025. It is not known what will happen to the Austin organ.
