- De maker van het orgel in Old Salem Lutheran Church in Catonsville is niet bekend. Het orgel dateert van rond 1860 en werd lange tijd toegeschreven aan Charles Strohl, omdat zijn naam op een aantal pijpen voorkomt. Maar ook de bouwers Berger, Pomplitz en Rodewald worden wel genoemd.
- Het orgel is in 1988 gerestaureerd door de firma Columbia Organ Works. Het verkeert in de oorspronkelijke staat.
