De kerk Saint Mary, Star of the Sea in Baltimore is gebouwd in de jaren 1869-1871, en werd gewijd op 26 maart 1871. Het gebouw is in later jaren uitgebreid met een hoge toren. De firma Heilner & Schumacher leverde in 1875 een pijporgel. In 1925 plaatste de firma Casavant een nieuw orgel, waarbij het front en een groot deel van het pijpwerk uit 1875 opnieuw werd gebruikt.
