- De Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church aan de East West Street in Baltimore is gebouwd in neogotische stijl in de jaren 1858-1860. In 1886 leverde de firma Ganter & Schumacher een tweeklaviers orgel, nadat de kerk in 1885 was uitgebreid, en voorzien van een toren met een koperen spits.
- Het orgel is in de loop van tijd niet ingrijpend gewijzigd. Wel is de tractuur geëlectrificeerd, en werd een vrijstaande speeltafel geplaatst.
