The Basilica of Estrela in Lisbon is a Baroque church, built in the years 1779-1790. The building is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the first church building in the world with this dedication. The church was funded by Queen Maria Ira. Antonio Xavier Machado e Cerveira placed an organ in the church in 1791. This instrument was restored in 1998 by Dinarte Machado.
