- The church of Sint-Baafs-Vijve was built in the years 1909-1914, whereby parts of the old church (the tower and some wall parts) were reused. The church was damaged in the First World War. The organ, built by L. Lovaert in 1858, and the bells were then removed from the church. After recovery, the church was dedicated on May 6, 1921. Also in May 1940 the building suffered war damage. However the organ, built by Jules Anneessens in 1937-1938, could be restored. The Anneessens organ was dedicated on March 13, 1938. It was played by Mr. Jos. Berden, organist of the Sint Jozefkerk in Oostende and Jos. Hanoulle.
- The organ was completely converted in 1998 by Jean Bruggeman. The organ was originally set up in two organ cases, with a main organ and a swell organ. The entire instrument was rebuilt in 1998 with mechanical traction and new slider chest in the right case (north side). The other case remained empty. There is no swell box anymore.
