- The Sint Franciscus church in Stene was built in 1967. It contains an older organ, which was constructed by the Schyven company in 1900 for the chapel of the Réligieuses du Sacré-Coeur, located at 17-oktoberstraat in Ostend. It was built by Schyven as a two-manual organ with pedal, pneumatic action and unit chests. The stops of the pedal and the first manual were combined. On the second keyboard, the two Flûte Harmoniques and the Salicional and Dolce were combined.
- After the closing of the monastery, the buildings were taken into use by the Higher Technical Institute (H.T.I.). Demolition followed in 1976, after which a new building for the institute was built on the same location. The organ was dismantled in 1976. It was transferred to the church building in 1980 after a restoration by the Loncke company. The disposition has been altered by Loncke. A number of Schyven registers have been moved, a number of new stops have been placed. New slides chests have been manufactured and the action has also been newly built. On November 23, 1980, the organ was dedicated at the new location. It was played on this occasion by Stefaan Dombrecht.
