  • The previous Église Saint-Rédempteur in Roubaix was built in 1884, after a design of Paul Destombes. On March 14, 1897, a pipe organ was dedicated, built by the company Schyven & Cie. The official inauguration concert was on March 23, played by mr. Peers, organist of the church, who played two pieces, and Alphonse Seutin, who played the major part of the concert.
  • The organ was damaged by bomb impacts during the Second World War. It was restored by Jean Pascal in 1949. Because the parish did shrink fast the church was closed in 1988 and demolished in 1900. A small new parish church was erected in 1993-1994. The organ of Schyven was also demolished in 1990.
