  • In 1856, the Merklin company built a choir organ for the Cathédrale of Clermont-Ferrnand. The organ case was designed by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. In 1887 the organ was transferred by Merklin to the Église Saint-Pierre les Minimes in the same city.
  • The organ was overhauled in 1912 by the company Michel-Merklin-Kühn. In 1985, Jean David carried out a restoration. Major maintenance has been carried out in 2011 by Dominique Gagnaire.
