- The organ in the Saint-Genès church in Thiers was built in 1853 by Antoine Herbuté. Abbé Barthélémy Rossich was involved during the construction as consultant. The organ has three manuals and a pedal. The positive is not placed in the small balustrade case, but at the bottom of the main case. The small case is only placed for decoration.
- In 1859 Charles Michel-Merkin expanded the organ. In 1914 Michel-Merklin & Kühn carried out an overhaul. The organ was restored in the years 2000-2001 in a joint project by the organ makers Madigout, Simon and Villard.
