- De firma Walker & Sons bouwde in 1959 een orgel voor de kerk van Saint Helen in York. Adviseur bij de bouw was Francis Jackson. Bij de bouw is veel materiaal hergebruikt van het vorige orgel van de kerk, gebouwd in 1865 door Robert Postill, maar omgebouwd door Harrison & Harrison in 1923. De orgelkas werd ontworpen door George Gaze Pace. Het orgel werd eind juni 1959 gewijd, en op 6 juli 1959 verzorgde Francis Jackson het inauguratieconcert.
- De firma Principal Pipe Organs voerde in 1998-1999 een restauratie uit.
