In 1867 bouwde de fima Forster & Andrews een orgel voor Saint Wilfrid's Church in York. De forntpijpen werden gedecoreerd door de firma G. Goldie. In 1973 is het orgel herbouwd door de firma Walker & Sons, waarbij onder andere de dispositie is gewijzigd. De firma Harrison & Harrison voerde in 1998 een restauratie uit. Hierbij is de oorspronkelijke situatie hersteld.
