- The organ in the church of Braine-l'Alleud or Eigenbrakel was originally a work by François-Joseph Coppin from 1768. The organ case was made by Nicolas Bonnet. The instrument has a main work and a positive. However, according to the contract, Coppin delivered an organ with one manual. There are several indications for the hypothesis that the positive is older, and possibly even has been the previous organ of the church, which was installed as a positive in the balustrade. This is also likely by the fact that the main work had a compass of 53 notes and the positive of 51, before the Gheude brothers changed the compass to 54 notes for both manuals in the years 1859/1860.
- In 1842 the organ was in poor condition. The Loret company made an offer for a restoration, but this work has never been carried out. The organ was completely restored by the Gheude brothers in 1859/1860. They expanded the manual compass to 54 notes.
- The organ was rebuilt by the Van Bever brothers in the years 1914-1915. They used part of the existing pipework, but only the pipes made by Gheude from 1860, as well as the organ case. The case of the positive was emptied, and a Récit Expressif was added. On March 16, 1915, the new organ was inaugurated with a concert by the organist of the church, Georges Marlière, and by the organist of the Église Saint-Servais in Brussels, Irénée Tellier. The official inauguration of the instrument took place on May 24, 1915 during an 'Inauguration Solennelle', at which the same organists played the organ.
- In 1949 the organ was dismantled and stored in connection with a restoration of the tower. It was only reinstalled in 1980 by Jean-Pierre Draps. The instrument was put back into use on October 14, 1980, with a concert by Jean Ferrard.
- In the book 'Orgels in the Pajottenland' it is written that this organ was originally built for the Église Saint-Joseph in Waterloo. It would then later have been transferred to Vlezenbeek.
