On May 7, 1919, the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Sioux Falls was built. The building is designed in gothic revival style. In 1935, an organ was dedicated by Monsignor Mulloney, which was built by the Kilgen Organ Company. It was an instrument with seventeen stops. In 1994, a new organ was built by the Hendrickson Organ Company.
