In 1958, a historic Chamber Organ was installed in Salisbury Cathedral. The instrument was built in 1764 by John Snetzler. The original organ case had been lost. Lord Mottistone designed a new case in classical style, which was installed in 1961. In 1981, the instrument was restored by the firm of Harrison & Harrison. It is located on the north-east side of the church.
