The Herz-Jesu-Kirche in Stans was built in the years 1884-1896. The church replaced the old parish church, dedicated to St. Laurentius and St. Ulrich. This church has remained standing. Albert Mauracher built an organ for the new church, set up in two cases with the west window in the middle. The organ was restored in 2011 by Christian Erler.
